Faculty Bios
Babak Sarani, MD
Babak Sarani obtained his medical degree and training in general surgery at the George Washington University School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in critical care at the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. In addition, he is the medical director of the rapid response team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include defining the impact of transfusion in critically ill patients and development of rapid response systems.
